DescriptionOur client is a leading manufacturer in the medical device industry, looking for a Principle Project Engineer for their modern plant in the NW Chicago suburbs. This position will lead a team of engineers and technicians in the development, design and debugging and project management of prototype processes and production lines. Will provide expertise in the management of outside vendors and the design of machines for long-term production, ease of maintenance and operation. Will manage new projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; 5 plus years of project management experience, design of production machinery and commissioning of new and refurbished manufacturing lines. Should have demonstrated leadership or supervisory skills. Candidates should not be focused on R&D or design, but have strong plant and project management experience. 5 years of medical device industry experience required, plastic processing experience, and knowledge of validations (IQ, OQ, PQ). Candidates will have a working knowledge of FDA and ISO regulations, be a proven team player, and have good problem-solving skills. Lean and or Six Sigma background (Green/Black Belt).
