Description: The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will be responsible for engaging regional KOLs, large group practices and regional academic centers in scientific exchange and medical communication.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engage regional key opinion leaders (KOLs), large group practices and regional academic centers in scientific exchange and medical communication in alignment with brand strategy.

Provide medical responses to off-label, unsolicited requests for information from regional KOLs and large group practices.

Provide insight into regional business/clinical strategy development and tactical plan implementation to support business objectives.

Identify, cultivate, and maintain professional and productive relationships with regional patient advocacy organizations and medical organizations relevant to the business of the Company.

Provide medical support, as appropriate, to priority regional/local managed access accounts (e.g., regional/local formulary presentations), regional advisory boards and local sales training.

Coordinate and align with regional stakeholders regarding KOL relationship management.
Requirements: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Position requires a doctorate level (PharmD or PhD) degree and a minimum of three (3) years related experience in clinical practice, academics or pharmaceutical industry.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Previous field based medical experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Thorough understanding of FDA, PhRMA, OIG and ACCME guidelines

Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate scientific and clinical data

Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative in planning, problem solving and execution of work in a team environment

Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and generate collaborations both internally and externally

Intellectual inquisitiveness and a proven capacity for strategic thinking

Superior written and verbal communication skills to effectively connect with a scientific audience

Skilled in handling competing priorities and focusing on relevant issues

Ability to challenge conventional practices and influence key decision makers

Assertive, decisive and results-oriented with high level of energy

Ability to travel as needed (approximately 30-40% per year)
