The Senior Manager, Forecast Analytics position will allow the candidate to build on their experience in forecasting/valuation to become a forecasting expert supporting ket deliverables in the assigned brand teams. Forecasters represent the analytic engine driving the findings and insights supporting key deliverables within this pharma/biotech client company.
Core Responsibilities include:
- Building quantitative processes or qualitative frameworks that get at the information that will answer forecasting questions for internal company clients.
- Synthesizing the findings of primary and secondary market research and forecast models leading to the identification of trends and implications of strategic importance for the internal and external clients.
- Becoming “knowledge leaders” in either the clinical or business opportunities and challenges posed by a internal cross-functional dept engagements.
The successful Senior Manager, Forecast Analytics candidate will:
- Have experience in project studies involving forecasting/valuation and/or portfolio strategy.
- Have a depth of knowledge about secondary data sources and how to utilize these sources to garner relevant data to inform forecasting inputs.
- Have advanced Excel model building skills; VBA desired if available.
- Have experiencing in proposing and defending forecast recommendations through refined analytical problem solving, quantitative models, qualitative analysis, and effective communication skills.
- Be able to work closely with peer forecasters to ensure that the forecasting methodologies being used in project tasks for customers are appropriate.
- Be competent at all relevant presentation/deliverable applications (including PowerPoint)
- Have at least 1-2 years of forecasting consulting experience if possible as well as pharma industry experience.
