Job Description
Our client, a global medical device manufacturer has an immediate opening for Business Unit Manager of the injection molding operation at one of their largest facilities. The position is under the general direction of the plant manager and a vital part of the leadership team. The Manager organizes, directs and coordinates all activities related to management of the specified business unit to accomplish service, quality and cost objectives. Will be responsible in driving schedules, planning, setting goals and objectives, oversees preparation of annual operating and capital budgets and ultimate responsibility for department. Will have responsibility for setting, determining and developing budget for the department and the plant.
The ideal candidate must have:
BS in Management or technical field.
Masters degree is preferred.
5 - 7 years of high level manufacturing management experience.
MUST HAVE experience managing an INJECTION MOLDING OPERATION.
Experience determining and developing a departmental and plant budget is required.
Successful track record of leadership and development of people.
Strong financial background and experience with budgeting is required.
Effective communication and people skills with all levels of the organization.
Lean manufacturing knowledge and understanding.
Experience working in a regulated industry and meeting regulatory requirements.
Proven ability to demonstrate leadership courage and accountability.
Must be an action oriented leader and driver who is comfortable with using active engagement style.
Medical device manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
